Family Medicine Faculty DO

Excellent Hospital is seeking a Board Certified Family Medicine Physician with OB experience and an Osteopathic Family Medicine Physician to join their Family Medicine Faculty and become part of their well-established and well-respected Family Residency Program!

This position will provide teaching and support for their Family Medicine Residents. They are seeking physicians with experience in inpatient and ambulatory patient care, as you will have clinical care of your own private outpatients approximately 3-4 sessions per week. Additionally, you will round approximately 1:6 weekends; off all others.
 
Their Family Medicine Residency Program was established in 1972 and has recently expanded from 18 to 24 residents.  Their clinical site sees a diverse patient population, with over 14,000 visits annually. We are a NCQA recognized Level 3 Patient-Centered Medical Home. Their program fosters a collegial, supportive environment conducive to learning and professional growth.
 
Facility is a 600+-bed, Level I Trauma Center and regional referral center.  They are a fully-accredited ACGME Family Medicine Residency and also are a dually accredited Family Medicine Osteopathic Residency. 

Facility, in scenic Berks County, consists of a 22-building complex located on a 36-acre suburban campus in West Reading, PA, serving a population of over 400,000.  Hospital perennially ranks among the top four Pennsylvania hospitals inpatient admissions, surgical procedures, outpatient service emergency care volume (131,000/year), outpatient services and more than 3,500 births annually.

Qualifications:
Experience BC Osteopathic Family Medicine; OMM skills and teaching experience a plus. Individual interests (i.e. sports medicine) encouraged.
