Senior Financial Analyst

Position Summary
Excellent company looking to add a successful Senior Financial Analyst to their team!


As the Senior Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for assisting in the annual and quarterly reporting for the DTCC Consolidated Financial statements along with being a legal entity owner for certain DTCC’s subsidiaries. Your daily activities will include preparing internal and external financial documents, fluctuation analysis of balance sheets and income statements, reviewing account reconciliations, and journal entries, along with researching, interpreting and concluding on accounting guidance.

The Financial Reporting team reports corporate financial information and drives the related requirements for financial statements and accompanying notes. The accountant role is involved in month end close accounting for various processes specifically including, but not limited to the responsibilities below.


Duties & Tasks:
  • Assist in the preparation and review of the DTCC Consolidated Financial statements on a quarterly and annual basis
  • Assist external auditors with year-end audits and quarterly reviews
  • Compile and communicate monthly consolidated results to the Financial Reporting Director and Global Controller
  • Assist in the preparation and review of the DTCC Consolidated Financial statements on a quarterly and annual basis
  • Assist external auditors with year-end audits and quarterly reviews
  • Prepare and post journal entries related to respective areas of responsibility
  • Prepare account reconciliations for balance sheet accounts including those impacting professional services
  • Ensure timely resolution of open reconciling items
  • Assist in P&L and balance sheet month end flux analysis including trend analysis month-over-month
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and present recommended solutions
  • Build and/or update policies and procedures related to areas of responsibility
  • Aligns risk and control processes into day to day responsibilities to supervise and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related fields.
  • Good understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principals (U.S. GAAP)
  • Flexibility in team assignment shifts, willingness to pitch in wherever possible
  • High problem solving and analytical skills
  • Familiarity with Oracle accounting software (JD Edwards and Hyperion) a plus
