Job Description

• Supervisor - Echocardiology at our facility. Positions available are full-time and will work 12-hour day shift.
• Our facility is a Magnet designated hospital providing a full range of specialty health care services.
• Supervises and coordinates daily operations of the Cardiology Department, in conjunction with the Manager of Cardiovascular Services/Nurse Manager, in order to ensure efficient operations and competent skill levels. 
• Is responsible for QI program development, implementation and follow-up. 
• Is responsible for recruitment and orientation of new employees as well as maintaining employee files, work schedules, annual reviews and competency testing. 
• Is a source of technical expertise in equipment needs. 
• Is responsible for all duties of a registered Echocardiographer as outlined in the Echocardiographer job description.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training Completion of an AMA accredited Echocardiogram program (minimum of one year in length)
• Upon hire: National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Or
• Upon hire: National Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International Or
• Upon hire: National Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• 2 years Recent full-time experience in Echocardiography.
• 1 year Experience in acute care hospital setting

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate's degree In a related health care field Or Credentials with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or Cardiovascular Credentialing, International.
• Upon hire: Membership in a professional organization such as the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers, the Society of Vascular Technologists, or the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine or the American Society of Echocardiography
• Recent supervisor or management experience

Must Have

• 5 to 7 years experience
• Minimum Education - Associate's Degree
