Things you need to have:
-Masters degree in Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, or Mathematics, and 5+ years of related work experience
- 3+ years of experience with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Elastic Map Reduce, and Spark
-Expert knowledge of at least one compiled language such as Java and a scripting language (Ruby, Python) -
Strong knowledge of software engineering best practices
-Proficiency with relational databases and Linux
-Excellent oral and written communication skills and a strong discipline for documenting methodologies and applications • Facility with standard machine learning techniques, error propagation, statistics, scientific thinking, and the ability to invent
• Experience working with Internet data (corpus of HTML documents, browse clickstreams, server logs)
• A track record of thought leadership & process improvement

-Design and develop robust, distributed processing solutions in the cloud (AWS) environment
-Optimize automated processes for performance and fault tolerance
-Collaborate with fellow technologists and contribute meaningfully in areas such as data sciences, data security, and architecture design
-Write well designed, well documented, maintainable code
-Research and assess new technologies
-Contribute to strategic planning and project management for a variety of technical initiatives"
