Location: US Remote - Northeast (NY/NJ) or Midwest
What you will be doing:
-Lead requirements gathering, architecture, and design of HDP-based solutions
-Ability to work successfully across multiple client engagements simultaneously
-Familiarity with HDP platform including knowledge of MapReduce, HDFS, Yarn, Pig, Hive, Hcatalog, Sqoop, Flume, Hbase, Oozie, Ambari, Zookeeper and related technologies.
-Significant experience implementing software and/or solutions in an enterprise Linux or Unix environment
-Ability to compile and install Linux applications, kernel, and kernel modules from source
-Experience with integrating directory systems such as LDAP and configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef, and Ansible
-Strong understanding of network configuration
-Travel to client sites Mon - Thur (full time pay when not engaged on assignment)
Things you need to have:
-2 + years architectural experience with providing services as a Hadoop architect
-Proven capability of impactful deliverable development
-10+ years of deep hands on technical programming and system infrastructure experience with 4 + years of architecture experience
-6 + Java programming language
-Familiarity with HDP platform including knowledge of MapReduce, HDFS, Yarn, Pig, Hive, Hcatalog, Sqoop, Flume, Hbase, Oozie, Ambari, Zookeeper and related technologies.
