User Experience Lead, Battle.net

Irvine, CA · Art/Media/Design
"
Excellent company looking to add a User Experience Lead in which they will sponsor to their team!

We are looking for an all-star designer to lead the strategy for our Battle.net Account product. We will be asking you to create a vision for our Blizzard players to more effectively manage their account across web, mobile, and our desktop app. You will start by defining what an account means for our players using our user-center design process. This means gaining empathy with early stage user feedback, stakeholder interviews, analyzing data from customer service and business intelligence, leading idea generation exercises, defining the goals and strategy, designing solutions, and validating the designs through user feedback. Of course we still do flows, wireframes and a typical design/build stage however we believe a UX designer is so much more. This is a rare opportunity to lead a huge global product which includes account creation, account settings, security options, betas, profiles and more.

Multiple locations available.

Responsibilities:
Understand what our users are doing and why – Analytics, competitive analysis, interviews, A/B testing, and research support.
Define problems and opportunities – Combine analysis of our user with business needs to form stories and plan solutions.
Create and show solutions – Strategy, wireframes, flowcharts, prototypes, feature matrices, designs, and bears (oh my!).
Iterate based on “validated learning” – Usability, interviews, and more designs – often in collaboration with the research team.
Deliver and follow through – Launch ideas (e.g. final wires, detailed flows, error states, etc) and assist in post launch analysis with our analytics and research team.

-Can prototype your ideas – whether high or low fidelity using the Adobe Suite, HTML, and / or Axure
-Laid back, but can unleash the fire in your belly to get things done
-Does not have to be a gamer but must be passionate about their work and UX
-Required Application Materials
-Resume
-Cover letter
-URL or PDF of your portfolio
-Only online artwork submissions will be accepted (e.g. website, blog or online album)
