CCIE Network Solutions Architect

Our client, a government contractor supporting the Department of Defense, is currently seeking a Sr. Network Engineer / Architect to join their growing team. The company is based in Alexandria, VA but there is a possibility of telecommuting when in the US. International travel is 80-90%.
 
Responsibilities:
This person will have comprehensive experience in large ISP LAN/WAN designs and the ability to architect appropriate solutions based on the customer’s needs and detailed analysis.

Qualifications:
-Experience with Cisco 3750 / 2950 / 4500 / 6500 switches
-Experience with Nexus 7000 switches
-Proficiency in planning, design, integration, optimization, operations, security and continuing support of large Enterprise network environments.
- Troubleshooting skills with WAN routing using BGP and OSPF in large networks with multiple BGP adjacencies between ISPs.
-Knowledge of network monitoring tools such as Cisco Works, NetQOS, and other similar SNMP monitoring platforms.
-Understanding of network optimization using QOS and traffic engineering techniques.
-Knowledge of security best practices and experience with implementing firewalls and perimeter security measures
-Solid Cisco Voice skills (Call Manager, Unity, QOS, Meeting Place, IPCC Express, Telepresence)
-CCIE (written and lab) required. CCNP/CCVP is a plus.
-Experience in or desire to gain knowledge and training in Cisco Advanced Technology
-Ideally, this candidate will have experience working in a large network environment and familiar with supporting remote sites.
-Must be able to travel internationally approximately 80-90% of the time. Transportation, food, accommodations and security is provided during all travel.
-Sales experience is a plus
-Bachelor's Degree
-10+-15 years experience
