Sr. Support Engineer (CCIE)

Our client is a leading provider a high-performance network infrastructure products. Their products and technologies run the world’s largest and most demanding networks today. Their customers include the top 130 global service providers, 96 of the Global Fortune 100, as well as hundreds of federal, state and local government agencies and higher education organizations throughout the world.

Our client is requesting a senior level network engineering resource. This resource will be working onsite at one of our client's office locations, in Herndon, VA or Sunnyvale, Ca.

The client is requesting a highly technical resource that will work to provide high level support for their "Service Provider" Customers (i.e. Comcast, Verizon). This person needs to have Core Backbone Network expertise. The primary role will be to support and represent the client as the "go to" technical network expert. This person must also have customer advocacy / support skills as well; the engineer will be providing high level break/fix support for the network and act as the support liaison to the end customer. This person must be able to articulate and communicate with the end customer. The consultant will be required to learn the end customer's network infrastructure from A to Z and be responsible for maintenance issues and working as the "go to resource" to resolve network outages and performance issues.

Our client is requesting that this resource have advanced knowledge of Cisco technologies, including certifications (CCIE) OR if possible a resource that has the JNCIE certification (Juniper cert) (this may not possible so client is happy to accept CCIE candidates)
