"Our Client is in the Denver area and is a non-profit research and development consortium that is dedicated to pursuing new cable telecommunications technologies and to helping its members integrate those technical advancements into their business objectives. There are a number of projects being funded by our Client to provide support to their Constituents.
This Client has immediate need for 2 Testing Project/Program Managers to launch DOCSIS based testing process which will allow clients to validate the interoperability of equipment and products. This requires Consultants with leadership and facilitation skills to launch project. The roles would require interactions with the clients team and multiple vendors while developing test plan. Project Manager will develop year old program to work with multiple vendors within 7 specifications to support Ethernet Passive Optical Network (EPON). PM will develop test plan for DPoE 2.0 specs to test against 1.0 for clients vendors as well as facilitate team discussions and mediate test results with vendors through the development of a report program. PM needs to understand member and vendor dynamics with a test lab environment and the process of visiting client test lab and pruning ATP (automated test planning) module Consultant shall provide task leadership duties to lead a focus team of EPON vendors and MSOs in developing an Acceptance Test Plan (ATP) for one or more of the DPoEv1.0 specifications.
Tasks shall include:
-Preparing for and holding weekly meetings
-Task assignments to focus team resources
-Reporting to internal project manager
-Ensuring the focus team is meeting their goals
-Methods of collaboration include GoToMeeting teleconferences, email reflectors, and the Community Portal.
-6 month or more effort.
Specific desired technical skills:
- Test methodologies, test plan development
